Course Description
Nurses are required to practice using critical thinking and clinical judgment with the goal or producing positive patient outcomes. While Socratic questioning assists in identifying knowledge gaps using long-used multiple-choice questions, Socratic inquiry more deeply probes the meaning, justification, and rationale to the question being asked. The process challenges the student to think deeper as they validate their responses by combining knowledge and critical thinking.
Learning Outcomes

- Determine the different uses of Socratic questioning and Socratic inquiry.
